For the first time in nearly 80 years, an American based hemp food manufacturer can truly claim its products to be “Made In America.” That company is Evo Hemp, based out of Boulder, Colorado. Earlier this year Evo released two new SKUs of products, Hemp Snacks and Seasoned Hemp Hearts, both sourced from domestic hemp farms.
The new snacks debuted at the Expo West in Anaheim, CA, and locally at the NoCo Hemp Expo earlier this month in Loveland, CO. There are 3 new flavors of the Seasoned Hemp Hearts: Sweet Hearts, Cheesy Hearts, Original and 3 flavors of their new Hemp Snacks: Sweet Cinnamon, Spicy Barbecue and Garlic Herb. Ari Sherman, Co-Founder & President at Evo Hemp, describes how well the new products are being received, “Consumers are looking for healthy alternatives to traditional snacks. They want high protein, low sugar products that can deliver on more than one craving. People find that our new hemp snacks satisfy their taste buds and sustain their energy while providing complete nutrition.”
Some of their domestic seed is coming from another Colorado based company, Colorado Cultivars. Cultivars, located outside Eaton, CO, is in its second year growing hemp. Rick Trojan, Director of Sales & Marketing at Colorado Cultivars, states, “Evo is passionate about sustainability, social responsibility, philanthropy & wellness, and these values are demonstrated with the launch of Hemp Snacks & Seasoned Hemp Hearts. We at Colorado Cultivars are excited to partner with Evo and provide hemp seeds grown right here in Colorado.”
The “Made In America” hemp food products are available at over 2,000 grocery retail locations throughout the country.
