Hempathy to Promote Benefits of Industrial Hemp and Celebrate Grow Our Future

7th Annual Hemp History Week to Feature over 1,400 Local Celebrations Nationwide

Atlanta, GA – On Sunday, June 5th the Georgia Hemp Economic Revival Organization will host a community multi-media event to celebrate the 7th Annual Hemp History Week, a national grassroots education campaign taking place from June 6-12, 2016 to renew strong support for hemp farming in the United States. This year’s campaign theme is Grow Our Future, which focuses on the myriad ways industrial hemp farming and hemp products can lead us to healthier lifestyles, regenerative agriculture systems, and innovations
in green technology.

In addition to serving delicious local foods, Hempathy will present a hemp and sustainable clothing fashion show,
live music, and the“Cannabis Car” built by Bruce Dietzen.Attendees will have a chance to win a ride in the car as part of a raffle prize!

Hemp History Week will feature a national retailer program with over 1,000 participating stores, local events, restaurant participants, and hemp product sampling. The campaign will also support over 300 grassroots organizers and feature a Take Action component, to encourage the Obama Administration and Congress to change federal policy and allow American farmers to once again grow industrial hemp.
