Access to Funding: USDA Grants and Loan Programs
USDA provides access to funds for farms, agriculture, biomanufacturing, and rural American businesses in the form of grants, loans, and special assistance programs. USDA and NIFA have put tens of millions of dollars into hemp research and market development since 2014, and the hemp industry’s focuses on agriculture, the US heartland and biobased products are aligned with USDA’s stated mandates. USDA: Existing Hemp Grants and Programs
USDA and the Agricultural Research Service (ARS) have funded more than 40 hemp research projects directly associated with industrial hemp fiber and grain.
