Since 1010 our mission has been to provide access to better healthful food choices. I was inspired by the outstanding nutrition hemp seeds provided and the difficulty in being able to obtain them. After discovering the nutrition in hemp seeds in 2008, I wanted them for my family to eat. They were hard to come by, thus we set out to build a food packaging business that incorporated hemp seed foods as a main ingredient so others could enjoy what hemp seeds had to offer.
We traveled coast to coast selling our Lady Jane Gourmet Seed Co products. We branded an ambassador Cousin Mary Jane (CMJ) as a hemp advocate to help educate people on all the outstanding benefits of industrial hemp with a focus on hemp seed nutrition. CMJ did lectures at events, schools, universities, and law enforcement agencies. In 2014 CMJ spoke before the Michigan Agricultural Committee regarding the nutrition in hemp seeds to help Michigan legislators’ gain insight on industrial hemp for drafting Michigan’s first hemp bill for farming.

After all, it was in keeping with our mission and we felt it would resonate to consumers a clearer understanding of what hemp seed nutrition is really all about.
